F1: Post Indian GP - Drivers Championship Standings

Sebastian Vettel extends his lead to 13 points over Fernando Alonso.  It might have been more if Mark Webber did not suffer KERS issues in the Indian GP.  The problem with the Aussie’s Red Bull gave Alonso the chance to overtake him and take second place in the race.

With only three races remaining, it seems Vettel has a stronger hold on the title than Alonso.  The Spaniard’s “never say die” attitude and his relentless pursuit of the crown cannot be dismissed.  It remains up to Ferrari to come to the table with an answer for Newey’s Red Bull.

It must be noted that Jenson Button has officially and mathematically been eliminated from title contention.
