F1 WDC Standings: Can Kimi Take The Title After Abu-Dhabi Win?

by on November 7, 2012

Can Kimi Take The Title After Abu-Dhabi Win? The answer is no.  Mathematically speaking, only a maximum of 50 points are left up for grabs.  If Alonso and Vettel both fail to finish in the points, the flying Finn can do no better than second place.

It is looking more and more as though Vettel is now the title favorite with Alonso set to finish as bride’s maid and Kimi a solid third.  While it is still possible for Webber, Hamilton and Button to catch Kimi, it would be near impossible unless he failed to score points in the final two races.

Here is the current World Driver’s Championship standings table.
