F1 : Final 2012 WCC Standings
Adrian Newey gave Red Bull wings. There was no catching the Milton Keynes team this season. Newey’s genius again prevailed and showed all other pretenders how it’s done in Formula One.
There are two surprises this season from my point of view. I’m absolutely floored at how Ferrari and Alonso were both able to capture second in both championships with a car not worthy of the podium in many instances.
From the beginning of the season, had I been a betting man, I would have put my money on McLaren. I’m equally as surprised that McLaren finished only third as a constructor as I am that Lotus was able to haul in more than double the points as Mercedes.
An honorable mention has to go to Force India and Sauber for building some very quick cars and beating the like of Williams.
