Robert Kubica Home from Hospital

Robert Kubica has left hospital to return to Monaco to recuperate after surgery to repair a broken leg.

The young Polish pilot has had some seriously bad luck with a previous injury that kept him out of F1 all of last year resulting from a rally car crash and now a broken leg due to a fall on some ice in Italy.

Kubica who I believe is still under contract with Renault (Lotus Renault) will be out of commission for at least another month, after which, if cleared, should be able to continue with his recovery rehab and physical training.

This latest injury is the last thing the recovering pilot needed as he struggles to fully gain back complete usability of right arm and hand which are still suffering from nerve damage.

Kubica is at least several months away if not more from a full recovery.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him, wishing him a speedy recovery.  We hope to see him in F1 behind the wheel of something in the near future.

Lotus Renault have been left with a seat to fill though in Robert’s absence.  Romain Grosjean occupies one seat, and in a shocking return, Kimi Raikkonen has been signed by the team to give it some hope of reclaiming a top spot among the F1 elite teams.
