F1: Team Standings – McLaren Starting To Pull Away

by on April 16, 2012

After the third round, McLaren are starting to establish themselves as the team to beat.  Even though they have only won one of the three races this year, McLaren have shown that they may well have the best package on the grid.  RedBull find themselves not leading the WCC which for them seems to be unfamiliar territory.  Ferrari somehow are holding onto Thrid with only Alonso’s points supporting their effort as Massa has yet to score a single point.  Sauber are knocking on the door of the top three however  and Mercedes and Lotus are right behind.  This has been a most interesting start to the F1 season which shows no signs of slowing down.   Below are the current standings after this past weekend’s Chinese GP;

McLaren-Mercedes 88
Red Bull Racing-Renault 64
Ferrari 37
Sauber-Ferrari 31
Mercedes 26
Lotus-Renault 24
Williams-Renault 18
Force India-Mercedes 9
STR-Ferrari 6
Marussia-Cosworth 0
Caterham-Renault 0
HRT-Cosworth 0
