F1: Mugello Test – Lap Times And Results – Day 3

by on May 3, 2012

The final day of in-season testing drew to a close.  Sitting on the outside looking in, it would seem that we as spectators are none the wiser, however, happier to have had some Formula One action nonetheless.  Absolutely nothing if not very little can be drawn from what we have seen the last three days.    There have been some issues experienced by some teams, many new components tested, some secrecy as usual and a few red flags to interrupt the usual running. As far as the lap times that have been reported, I would suggest we take them with a pinch of salt. I suspect that not one team showed their true pace or even ran with the final configuration of their planned upgrades for the following Grand Prix in Spain.
