F1: Five In Five As F1 Comes Alive

by on May 14, 2012

An Incredible start

To this F1 season

Five races, Five Winners

Is the biggest reason

A maiden victory

For Maldonado

Who showed wicked pace

And much bravado

He held off Alonso

In his Williams-Renault

Lap after Lap

He put on a show

Red Bull, Mercedes

And even McLaren

Struggled in Spain

Which for them was quite barren

Taking very few points

In the Spanish GP

Where tyre management

Proved to be key

Just ask Kimi

If you need confirmation

He did exceptionally well

To limit tyre degradation

Catching the leaders

At a ridiculous pace

Just four seconds behind

By the end of the race

Jenson and Lewis

Had a race to forget

Penalties, problems

and a pit stop to lament

Frustratingly silent

Fell the Red Bull pair

Snagging only 8 points

Which is extremely rare

Ferrari improved

As Alonso came second

Though his tyres gave up

When victory beckoned

Massa is lost

In a pointless abyss

Good-bye and farewell

His race seat, he may kiss

To Pastor Maldonado

The day did belong

Together with Williams

They could do no wrong

From Venezuela with love

To the history books

Into the hearts of his fans

He’s now got his hooks

Congrats to you Pastor

You ran one hell of a race

We’ll never forget

The smile on your face
