#F1: Does Webber’s Contract Extension Put Ferrari In A Pickle?
As many of my loyal readers know, I contribute to several Formula One web sites. Yesterday I posted an article on PureF1.com about Webber’s contractual situation (http://puref1.com/2012/07/09/f1-webber-vs-red-bull-a-new-chapter/) . There has been some well documented tension between Webber and Red Bull in the last couple of years. There have been rumors about Ferrari being interested in signing the Aussie to replace Massa.
Of course, not long after the article was posted, it was announced that Mark Webber signed a one year extention with Red Bull for 2013. This clearly forced my hand to write a follow up article…how else would it work? Many believe Webber was the key to the off-season driver market. A move from Red Bull to another team or retirement would have possibly opened the doors to some considerable change in the driver line-ups for 2013.
Here is the follow up article on PureF1.com posted earlier today: http://puref1.com/2012/07/10/f1-have-red-bull-and-massa-made-ferraris-job-easier-or-harder/
