#F1POEM: Formula 1 US Grand PrixView

by on November 13, 2013

Hamilton - USGP

Across the pond, Austin Texas sets the scene for Formula One’s round number eighteen

The weather may be cooler than first projected, but the warm Texas welcome has been just as expected

With open arms and American flair, it promises to be a world-class affair

The FOTA Fan Forum is set to be a success and the COTA facility was certainly built to impress

Sweeping fast corners and undulations give drivers and fans quite naughty sensations

Last year Vettel took pole and scampered away, but Hamilton chased to the German’s dismay

Lewis passed Vettel and never looked back while Alonso lacked pace to mount an attack

Massa was fourth he was actually quite quick, but Webber retired as his Red Bull was sick

It’s the Aussies penultimate race in Formula One, his days in the sport are just about done.

The fat lady has sung and the title’s been clinched, but the fight for second is feeling a wee bit pinched

Will Mercedes hold on or will Ferrari come back? Will the boys from Maranello be able to have the pace to get back on track?

Kimi won’t race for the final two rounds, leaving Lotus up a creek… making some god awful sounds

So the big story then is who’ll replace Raikkonen, everyone’s placing their bets on Heikki Kovalainen

I understand why but I’m somewhat confused as to why reserve driver Valsecchi has been excused

Well, let’s see what happens in the home of the brave and the land of the free as we watch events unfold at the Us Grand Prix
